OSS Applications, Accounting Work, and Community Engagement | Kiyoto Nakahara Office|Recent Updates

Administrative Scrivener Kiyoto Nakahara Office|Recent Updates

Over the past few weeks, my work at the office, involvement in the local community, and time with my family have all overlapped in a meaningful way, creating many opportunities for learning and reflection. I would like to share a summary of recent activities, including efforts to improve operational efficiency, challenges with new procedures, and dialogue within the community.

🚗 Progress in Vehicle Registration Work and the Use of OSS Applications

While handling multiple vehicle registration procedures—such as export deregistration and ownership transfer—I took on the challenge of fully utilizing the OSS (One-Stop Service) application system, which I had not yet mastered.

By working through the application process step by step, I was able to grasp the overall workflow. Although it took me late into the night, I successfully completed the application.
To my surprise, the ownership transfer submitted through OSS was completed in just two business days, even with a weekend in between.

Because OSS requires a different timing for document preparation compared to traditional procedures, I now see the importance of reorganizing priorities around OSS to improve efficiency. As OSS becomes more widespread, work limited to garage certificates may decrease, and administrative scriveners located near transport bureaus may find themselves in a more advantageous position.

📊 Accounting, Administrative Tasks, and Workflow Improvements

Recent work included preparing commercial invoices and correcting bookkeeping records.
I also handled a full month of accounting entries for a client, which at times required more than half a day.

In addition, communication with a bank regarding an international remittance was resolved smoothly through prompt responses and accurate documentation. This reaffirmed how essential document precision is for maintaining stable business transactions.

I struggled with discrepancies in my own balance sheet during tax filing, but I have now implemented a system that automatically generates balance sheets. Going forward, I plan to review them regularly to further improve accuracy.

🏠 Managing Share House Löwenherz

I recently posted new photos and videos of the share house on Facebook:

I also created a new spare key for one of the rooms, as one was missing.
Small improvements like these contribute directly to the comfort and peace of mind of our residents.

🕌 Dialogue Between the Islamic Mosque and the Local Community

I attended a briefing session at the Okayama Islamic Center, where neighborhood representatives, city officials, council members, and local educators gathered.

There have been concerns from some residents regarding the construction of a new mosque, and I participated in the discussion as a stakeholder.
In an era where globalization and anti-globalization sentiments coexist, I was reminded of the importance of maintaining a balanced and moderate perspective, without being swayed by extreme opinions.

👨‍👩‍👦 Family Time and Refreshment

Despite a busy schedule, I make it a priority to spend time with my family.

We visited Fukuyama and Tomonoura, walking the same route we took seven years ago. It was a wonderful opportunity to see how much my children have grown.

We also enjoyed a cycling trip through the Kibi Plain, visiting shrines and historical sites. Blessed with good weather, we shared a simple lunch of rice balls along the way, making it a refreshing and memorable day.

These moments provide the energy that fuels my daily work.

Closing Thoughts

Efforts to improve efficiency, engagement with the community, and time with my family are all creating a positive cycle. I feel that the small steps I take each day are gradually taking shape.

I will continue to approach each task with care and dedication, striving to support the people of our community through my work as an administrative scrivener.
